Job Context:
CWFD emerged from an emotional response to help women in need of reproductive health care counseling. The organization, originally named as “Concerned Women for Family Planning (CWFP), started its voluntary activities in 1974 to help the refuge coming to Dhaka city after the devastating famine of 1974. The organization was registered in 1975 with Directorate of Social welfare and formally launched its project activities in 1976 with only 5 female staff to cover an area of Dhaka city slum comprising around 50,000 people.
Vision Statement: To empower women of Bangladesh to achieve better status within the family and society.
Mission Statement: CWFD is a non-political, non-profit voluntary organization run by women of Bangladesh to support, promote and protect the interest of women in Bangladesh by providing community based health care, empower community to exercise their rights to eliminate social injustice, creating economic opportunities, empower underprivileged youth of urban and rural population and develop human resources for a positive social change.
Project background:
In 2013, Concerned Women for Family Development received funds from Plan International Bangladesh to implement “Generation Breakthrough” project. This project aims to address gender-based violence (GBV) in Bangladesh by establishing linkages to adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender equity, with a focus on engaging boys and improving relationship building skills. As a part of delivering adolescent-friendly health services, Generation Breakthrough project will operate a helpline to deliver tele-counseling and referral services on sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence. The primary target group of this helpline is adolescents aged 10-19 years.
CWFD and Plan International Bangladesh do not allow any perpetrator on child abuse.
Duty station: Barguna District
Job Duration: Up to December 31, 2019
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare Field Office quarterly and monthly activity plan based on a yearly plan.
- Provide guidance and support to Technical Officers and ensure providing technical support to school teachers in the implementation of the Gender Equity Movement in School (GEMS) manual.
- Overall financial management of the field office as per financial rules and regulations of the field office. This includes budget preparation and financial report.
- Maintain liaison with Government, Plan International Bangladesh, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and sending program progress report quarterly and periodically.
- A regular visit to the enlisted schools, and madrasahs.
- Organize and facilitate awareness raising meeting in the community on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Gender-Based Violence.
- Ensure organizing street drama for creating awareness
- Organize Community Advocacy meeting with different stakeholders on Gender and ASRHR.
- Project monitoring and ensure data punching using a Tablet computer.
- A line of responsibility: The Field Manager is directly reportable to the Project Manager in Dhaka.

Additional Requirements:
- Experience on working with ASRHR and Gender-Based Violence reducing program.
- Extensive travel in the project areas.

Salary: 24,267.00 – 36,400.00
