The University of Oulu International Scholarship Scheme provides scholarships to academically talented international students studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the University of Oulu.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The scholarships will be granted in the form of a tuition fee waiver and the tuition fees and scholarships depend on the programme in question.

In order to retain the scholarship in the following year of study, a student must have completed at minimum 60 credits by the end of the previous academic year.

Eligibility:

Applicants are eligible to apply for a University of Oulu Scholarship if they meet the admissions criteria and are liable to pay the tuition fee. University of Oulu Scholarships can be received only once. The scholarship application will be processed in the selection procedure only if the applicant meets the admissions criteria. The selection criteria for the University of Oulu Scholarship are based on previous academic performance and academic potential.

A strong proficiency in the English language is essential for admission into universities in Finland. To be able to get a successful admission in University of Oulu in Finland students need to complete IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5.

Applications open 4 January 2023.

There is no separate application system for the International Scholarship. Applications for the International Scholarship are submitted together with the application for the preferred study option in the Studyinfo portal. The application period for the University of Oulu International Master’s Scholarships is 4 January – 18 January 2023 (15.00 GMT +2).
